Up untill Tekken 3, Eddy had been in prison, for being accused of his fathers death, where he learnt Capoeria. After leaving prison, Eddy entered the third King of Iron Fist Tournament.
In Tekken 4, Eddy didn't actually take part in the fourth tournament. His student, Christie Monteiro, took part though to find her trainer, Eddy.
After Eddies master had been released from prison, Eddie was told that his master was going to die. Eddie entered the fifth King of Iron Fist tournament to persuade the Zaibatsu to help his master.
