Lee Chaolan (born May 2, 1957) is the adopted son of Heihachi Mishima and the foster brother of Kazuya Mishima who is also is a rival to him. Lee's fighting style is mixed Martial Arts as he trained with Paul Phoenix and Marshall Law so he has some of their moves like Law's infamous "Somersault Flip". Lee's moveset are identical to Law in the first Tekken and he even shares Law's sound effects.
Most of his reasons for entering the tournaments are to get revenge against his "family".
Lee's parents died when he was a young boy. Lee developed amazing reflexes in his early age by defeating several other kids in school yard on his own. This caught Heihachi Mishima's eye and he decided to adopt Lee.
In the first tournament, both Lee and Heihachi were defeated by Kazuya Mishima who took over Mishima Zaibatsu. Lee was approached by Wang Jinrei who warned him about Kazuya and asked Lee to restore the honor of Mishima Zaibatsu by taking it away from Kazuya. The second tournament was then announced but Lee was defeated quite early in the tournament by Heihachi himself.
Lee doesn't appear in Tekken 3.
Twenty years ago Lee was expelled from Mishima Zaibatsu by Heihachi. Lee didn't want to get revenge on Heihachi and he moved to a mansion in Bahamas. One day Lee discovered a huge sell-off of G-Corporation's stock online. Lee knew that something wasn't right and then he learned that Mishima Zaibatsu had attacked G-Corporation and harmed their research facilities. Then the fourth tournament was announced and Lee, covering his true identity from Mishima Zaibatsu by going with the name Violet, decided to join the tournament to get revenge at the Mishimas.
Lee was so surprised that Kazuya was alive in the fourth tournament, that he lost his focus and was defeated by Kazuya. Later, Lee gets the invitation for the fifth tournament and decides to take part in it to face Kazuya in a rematch and finally take the Zaibatsu away from him.
Lee took part in the fifth tournament, but when he learned that Kazuya wasn't the one that opened the tournament (It was Jinpachi Mishima), he lost interest in it and returned to his home in Bahamas. Soon the MFG, led by Jin Kazama, started a huge war with G-Corporation. Lee soon learned that Kazuya was in the lead of G-Corporation. After learning this, Lee decides to take part in the sixth tournament to finally get his rematch and revenge with Kazuya.
