Kazuya Mishima (born April 30, 1958) enters the first King of Iron Fist Tournament in Tekken to battle his father, Heihachi Mishima. After Kazuya wins, he throws his fathers body from the same cliff that Kazuya was thrown off as a child. Kazuya was thrown off the cliff as a child by his father, where he wanted Kazuya to survive. Kazuya makes an agreement with the Devil after he is thrown off the cliff, which helps him survive.
During Tekken 2, after the first King of Iron Fist tournament, Kazuya is now the leader of the Zaibatsu, where he sets up the second King of Iron Fist Tournament. Heihachi, after having survived being thrown off a cliff by Kazuya, enters the tournament, defeats Kazuya, and throws him into a volcano, killing Kazuya.
After having not appeared in Tekken 3, Kazuya returns in Tekken 4, after being revived by G Corporation. Soon after, G Corporation is attacked by members of the Tekken Force, led by Heihachi, to take Kazuya's remains for the Devil Gene. Kazuya defeats the Tekken Force, and enters the fourth King of Iron Fist Tournament, after extracting some of the Devil Gene into his son, Jin Kazama. After having made it to the final and defeating Heihachi, Kazuya learns where Heihachi has taken Jin, Hon-Maru. In Hon-Maru, Kazuya knocks Heihachi out, and wakes up Jin, where Jin defeats both Heihachi and Kazuya, shortly after leaving.
In Tekken 5, Heihachi and Kazuya are attacked by many Jack-4, since G Corporation has now betrayed Kazuya. Kazuya escapes, leaving his father to die, and soon after enters the fifth King of Iron Fist Tournament, which is being run by his grandfather Jinpachi Mishima.
